It was not a brutal winter here by it sure is good to see spring and all those great colors in clothes. Shop wisely but purchase a few things to update what you already own. Here is a Spring color palette, to give you ideas. Just make sure you don't buy for fashion but rather purchase what compliments you. Red is not in this color card, but it's a good one for spring and summer. Remember Red means power, danger, intensity, passion and strength, so wear it wisely.

I am a firm believer in shopping your closet, but always, updating your wardrobe. So those hot  Modern Red pants I bought at J. Crew, here are two ideas of what I will wear with them. Now remember buy colors that are in your palette, make sure what you buy goes with three other things you already own, and fit is crucial.

How is it your dog knows exactly where to lay when you are working on a project. Right in the middle of the fabric piece. His face and disposition saves him every time.

COLOR COLOR COLOR is hot hot hot right now for spring and summer. As we age color is our friend. So I bought into the whole idea and yesterday I purchased these pants. By J. Crew, you need to find ones in a style and color that fit you. I love these tomorrow I will show you how I plan on wearing them. They are much more orange and red them the photo.

Ok, so I left the house the other day,  I left my brand new tube of lipstick on the night stand next to the bed. Yes, my dog gets up on the bed for naps especially when we are gone. This is what I came home to. I don't even know where the cover is only a piece was left. See the culprit below so how could I be mad at that face. I didn't need that new lipstick anyway. See photo of the culprit below, how could you be mad at a face like that?

I am a foodie, in other words I like good food, it's important to me. I also care greatly about where my food comes from. How we treat our food is how we can expect to feel, how our health is. If we eat unhealthy animals, animals that are raised in factory farms, we cannot expect to be health. This is a great Article from the NYC, it talks about an important new book. http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2012/02/21/the-farm-bill-beyond-the-farm/end-farm-subsidies-and-treat-animals-better. Know what your eating make food important, care about where and how it comes to you. Buy local, support farmers markets, coops and other local sources for food. Be healthy. Be happy.
This is an important new book on why we need to do this for our own personal health, maybe just reading the article will make a difference in your life, and the animals that surround you. You can get it on Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/Animals-Public-Health-Treating-Macmillan/dp/0230249736/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1

Linda has been in the fashion business her whole life, with one of the first boutiques in Soho, editorship at Bazaar and years of styling. I personally love her look, and it proves my point, personal style is in all parts of your life not just your clothes.

I am a big fan of long, thick eyelashes, with mascara and lipstick I can go anywhere.  Less is always more when you age, but I love the drama found in eyes. So in my qwest to have long, thick lashes I have tried several products. Revitalash, which works and I love it, Smartlash which worked but not like Revita lash. It's now time to try Latisse. So I have taken a before picture of my lashes without mascara, let's see in a week what my lashes look like after a week of Latisse.

This the first in a series of how not to look old. Each day along with other information I will have an idea on grooming and personal style to help you not look old. Let's get started with grooming.
EYEBROWS - eyebrows help you frame your eyes, which are the windows to your soul. Grey, too thin, too bushy, over tweezed, or drawn on eyebrows make you look old. So what to do, it's actually the same for both men and women. If you can't or don't want to afford a salon or barber go purchase a kit. I found mine on Amazon.com,  it has tint and shaping stencils. For men you will probably want a barber to trim and shape yours, but this kit works for you too, it's by Godefroy.
