I just checked out a website that I have been hearing a lot of good things about. The clothing line is called J. Hillburn, it's custom shirts that you order online, but you need to go through someone that is trained at measuring in order to place an order. The fabrications, the styling and the quality is right up there with the best of the best. Sometimes we think something cheap works just as well as something expensive but in this case this is quality and at an affordable price. Add Comment I have not blogged in a few days, because I have felt like the air has been taken out of me. My beautiful American Bulldog, Buster Brown, passed away on Sunday. He lost his battle with cancer. I will return to writing this blog next week. Thanks all. This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Here is my list of really great looking red sandals, they are just the right red. Nine West "Tali", Guess"Kaylinay", Elizabeth and James "Manic", Athena Alexander "Benny", Franco Sarto "Vault", Dolce Gabbana "Clog Platform" Via Spiga "Eli", just to name a few. So go forth and wear red sandals this summer. It's almost summer, almost. Although in some places it's been slow coming. I have taken out my summer attire, and here is one thing I need to add. I need some super strappy, wedge heeled sandals in a really beautiful Lipstick Red. I have been to several sights and here is where I have found some very cool ones. The Silvana by J. Crew in Barn Red, wow this are gorgeous. Shey Sunburst sandals in Flame by Banana Republic. How about the Larissa by Christian Louboutin, these are to die for. There are many many more, what's your favorite? Yesterday I talked about the ballet flat and its versatility and it's comfort. Today it's the opposite of that it's the stiletto. Born in the 19th century this heel is named after the stiletto knife because of it's shape. It starts at with a narrow base at the heel and narrows further to the ground at sometimes less than a half an inch. Ranging 1-10" tall these shoes are sex appeal personified. Lately their popularity has exploded because of all the celebrities using them. Be careful when wearing them, it's easy to fall wearing them. Podiatrists are reporting an increase in injuries due to the wearing of these shoes. Amazing shoes that begin in the 16th Century, which were worn by both women and men (called Pampes), these shoes go from casual to dressy. They come in all sorts of materials fabric, leather, and sometimes rubber, they go with jeans, skirts, dresses, even suits. My favorite brands are London Soles, J. Crew, Sam and Libby and Banana Republic. Go I have said it before and I will say it again. I love Fashion, but Fashion is not the same as Business Attire. I know it's hard for women especially to find clothes that meet their needs in the office or for work. There are several online sights that I highly recommend for women and here they are, (they also have store fronts) Banana Republic, J. Crew as a little bit, and Brooks Brothers. As for stores beside those already mentioned there is Nordstrom's but you have to be careful that you don't get caught up in fashion. Macy's is great, but you have to be willing to dig and work hard, they often do not have a lot of staff in their departments. When shopping for business know what you are looking for and how much you want to spend, that way you won't come home with the wrong thing. This has become a huge passion of mine. I need more than anything, any and all information from you on what kinds of clothing you would like to see produced by companies and manufactures for the over 40 crowd. As I go shopping and help people create a look for themselves, I see how frustrating it is to try to find clothes that are age appropriate, fit the human body and are in colors that flatter a person. If you have any ideas for clothing you would like to see in the stores or if you are frustrated by what you are finding. I need you to email me at my address listed on this website and tell me what you want to see in the stores. Thanks a million. Counterfeit items that replicate designer clothing and accessories, not only take money out of the hands of those people that have designed and developed a product they are also supporting a horrific industry. Child Labor, drug trafficking and terrorism (guns and human trafficking) are all support by your buying counterfeit purses, clothing and jewelry. The internet has become the largest venue for selling counterfeit items. It's not only illegal but do you really want something made by children who are treated horribly in their work and living conditions? Do you want to support other illegal activities? If not do not buy counterfeits. |
