Belts finish an outfit. Don't over look belt loops it makes you look sloppy, plus belts are so fun. In the business world however, make sure you are appropriate to your setting. Don't match belts to your shoes that is very 1980's, ouch! Instead compliment your outfit. As soon as a belt wears out get rid of it. If the buckle is precious have a new belt made to accomodate it. Add Comment Let's talk jewelry which can make a statement to your outfit for both men and women. Jewelry is a great way to show a bit of your personality. Here are a few suggestions on how to do this in the workplace. Make sure your jewelry is up to date, this does not mean to rule out vintage or antique jewelry but if you do chose to wear it, make sure the scale, shape and design fit in with what is current in jewelry now. Scale is very important so be aware of what you can carry off, some tiny people can handle large scale pieces based on their personality but for most of us we need to be aware of our size. Does the jewelry fit the occassion? Is it loud, does it make noise while your wearing it? Don't over do it, make a statement with just a few pieces, editing is important. Don't be afraid of using jewelry seek advise from those in the know if you are uncertain what is appropriate, a stylish person or an image consult I am going to begin a series on accessories, as summer has faded and we are definately feeling the affects of fall in the shorter days and longer cooler nights our accessories should reflect those changes as well. Accessories can make or break an outift, The wrong size, color, fabrication and how appropriate it is to the occassion or the outfit are all factors in chosing the right accessory.
