Ok, guys I know your the last to move on style, but you can and should step it up a notch. Especially if you are single and looking to attract some attention. Below are some photos of Nick Wooster who is now a style adviser for JCP (that's J C Penney's) so style does not have to cost a lot. By the way if something does not fit perfect, have it altered.

When the cold weather hit my hair looked like I had my hands on one of those static electricity globes. It had a life of it's own. My daughter works for Aveda Corporation, she recommended Light Elements. What a difference one tiny little drop of this makes. I apply one tiny drop to my wet hair, it makes it easier to comb out and no more electrical hair-dos.

Day five, this outfit is so simple, which makes it that much "cooler". As I have stated before my jeans are straight legged. I feel I am a little bit too old for shinnies although some of regular pants have a narrow leg,  in jeans I prefer straight leg.  to find what works for you, take some time to try on jeans, try on all different brands, styles and colors too. Note the ones you love and would the most comfortable in and buy more than one pair or remember what they are, and where you got some so you can get more in the future.
As for the sweater, I have this one in navy (seen here), coral pink, and white. Again just like the jeans when I find something I like I buy multiples, sometimes the first one I buy is full price, but then as I see how I wear it and like it I will go back and buy more. Hopefully by that time the item is on sale.
I chose the soft pink belt because I love navy and pink together and while the necklace seem a little off maybe it works by bringing in some fun color. This outfit can have almost any purse, shoe combination that is what is so great about it being classic and simple.

This works too but makes the outfit a bit more dressy.

Love this look as well, but now it's more casual.

It's been proven over and over again that animal testing of products and medical procedures is like comparing apples to oranges and yet Urban Decay makeup has decided to start animal testing. Do not buy this product if you like your skin and body.

What is dressing "out of the box"? To me it's taking classic clothing and putting a spin on it. Not one piece of the outfit is outrageous, it's the way the people put it together that makes "it"Happen, makes it "out of the box."
I love the website Sartorialist it's all about street fashion, what people do with their clothes in real life. Here is the link.  http://www.thesartorialist.com/. If you love clothes and not just fashion it's definitely the place to go for great ideas. Looking dapper, being classic but a bit out of the box is what it's all about. Below is a young women in Europe, now I am not promoting smoking, (absolutely not) just what a great look, putting together total classic pieces but the use of color is what makes it "out of the box."

I keep telling my clients that as you grow older make not only life but your look clean and simple. Wear classics, changing the color with fashion but staying within the palette as to what looks good on you and goes with the rest of your closet. Keep " bling" or "out there looks to accessories, that way you have a closet that has exactly what looks good on you and you alone, but you can up the fashion factor with your accessories.
I love the book "Parisian Chic" by Ines de  la Fressange. She is so classic in her  look she just changes things  up with color and accessories. Here is what I am talking about, see what little effort she uses to make herself look current and yet you know who she is.

The last few days I have been watching the 60th Anniversary of the Queen of England. The Brits sure do love their Queen and why not. She is so regal, so stoic and has taken her role with so much dignity. I was so impressed with how much they really love her and she her country. Hats off to the Brits.
And then there was Annie Lennox a personal favorite of mine, one of many entertaining the Queen, wearing Angel wings.
  Both ladies talented and wonderful.

It't no secret I am an animal lover, so much so that sometimes even  my husband wonders what he's married. Animals are a gift and how we treat them says a lot about us. Yesterday there was a story about the cosmetic line Benefit on the morning news. Of course I checked to see if they tested their products on animals. They apparently don't like to answer that question. I sent them an email asking them if they do indeed test on animals I will let you know when I get a reply. Remember if a product needs to be tested on an animal it means there is something in it that is not good for you. They just want to make sure it's not that toxic or harmful. Shame on any company that does animal testing. More to come.

Products are expensive, cleaning products, makeup products, skin care products. They all cost money and some of them a lot of money. So I have over the last few years made things really simple when buying products and in using them. Over the next few days I am going to share what I do to save money for cleaning and for my skin and makeup.
Let's start with cleaning products. The other day we were behind a young women at Target who had a cart full of cleaning products. Not only were some  what I would call toxic but they were expensive. I wanted to tell her that all she really needs is white vinegar and baking soda, and some Mrs. Meyers or Method all purpose cleaners. My whole house is cleaned with these products,
including scrubbing out the shower with a combination of baking soda and vinegar (think for old science class experiments). Yes there is like a mini volcano when you combine them but you end up with a really clean shower, tub or sink. So ditch all those strong toxic chemicals you use to clean and purchase the cheapest stuff you can buy. Baking Soda and Vinegar. More ideas tomorrow.

Look at these shoes, do they rock or what? Come on someone buys these and then show up dancing in them. Below that is a new way to think about pocket squares for your jacket. Love the bandanna look if they are too bulky you can always cut them down. Hey, they are not that expensive.
