This velvet coat like items, is a personal favorite. I wear it over a very thin lightweight cashmere sweater, and then this beautiful multi string necklace. I wear this during the day time as well as at night otherwise it does not get worn much. I have always like the idea of dressy with not dressy in the same outfit, I have dressed like that for years. I would probably not wear the necklace if I were to wear this during the day for a work attire. Perfect with my 505 Levi's from Kohl's. Add Comment I love this sweater it's cotton so it's really perfect for these days that start out cold and end up warm. It's long too so if it's a "I am feeling fat day", then this is the perfect foil for it. I like to pay one of my scarves with it because a necklace or too much jewelry would be too much for the top. I have a burnished gold belt and of course my 505 Levi's from Kohl's. Lace and crochet continue to be a big seller for this fall. This khaki open knit sweater is awesome, I pair it with an animal print camisole underneath. To add color and drama big orange beads for J.Crew (past season's) and an orange red belt complete the outfit. I have my Vintage Made in America Levi's pair with the outfit. In this case I would do the uneven roll at the hem. Then add color with the accessories. You all know how I am always preaching multiples, well here it goes again. These two Boyfriend Sweaters from J. Crew, are two of my favorite sweaters, I have one in a sand colored linen for summer as well. These sweaters are so comfortable and I love how flattering they are for me. Either sweater can be worn with either necklace and of course another one of my many pairs for Levi's 505 from Kohl's. Now remember when you find a top that works, purchase it in several colors. Often I will buy one and figure out how much I love it and then I go back for more. Often times the second and third ones are on sale, which makes me even happier. If you purchase classic basics like these you can have them for several seasons. Tomorrow night we are going dancing. I love to go out dancing, it's great exercise, it releases all your worries from a week of work and it's just plain fun. We have definitely had a change in the weather today so tomorrow night this is what I will be wearing, I think. The great little moire sleeves stop has a vintage feel but looks new, the shearling jacket (fake fur of course) is perfect for a cool night. I love the idea of the sweet romantic top with the rugged jacket. I have always preferred high- low, cheap- expensive, new-old look in my dressing so this outfit fits that look completely. I really love those over sized pearls which again have a vintage but new feel. Add a animal print belt and it's a pretty outrageous outfit. It was a long big week-end so I owe all you my followers an apology for not posting my blog this week-end. Either there wasn't time or I was too tired. This is one of my favorite outfits. I love this layered ruffle jacket in navy grosgrain/ It's comfortable and depending on the jewelry it can be dressed up or dressed down. These are the kinds of jacket you should look for one that suits many needs, times of day and formalities. That way you get your money's worth. I have it styled here with a rhinestone necklace, but if I were to wear it for everyday I would just leave it plain or add a smaller necklace. The red belt is in keeping with the red lining trim, even though you probably will only see a peak of the belt Remember that straight legged jeans are the most flattering for the most body types. . Sunday I love Sunday it's the day the world sorta takes a break or at least it seems to, things seem a bit slower. You go to church or whatever your morning routine is and then you get to play, go for a bike ride, walk, hike, golf , etc. So it's a good day to dress up and then really go casual. This vest is so old, but so current for now with it's trim and bead work, paired with a white J Crew shirt and jeans it works for dressy and casual. This time it's the Eco Levi's with a soft pink belt which you would not see if the vest were completely buttoned. I would but a two roll at the bottom of the jeans, as I would want them to look more styled and formal. I have to apologize week-ends are always so busy and I never thought I would not be able to post yesterday but alas it did not happen. So here is Day Six and Day Seven back to back. This is my favorite sweater of all time, it's from J. Crews collection from two years ago. It's Merino Wool, even the lace is wool. I wore it this past January when I got married. I always save it for going out when jeans are ok, but I want to look a little more dressed up. The necklace is always a favorite I have two of these J. Crew Bubble necklaces the red and a blue grey. I love how big it is and the red makes me happy. The jeans are Levi's 505 from Kohl's. Ah, Day Two this is so exciting, I love putting this together. This is another summer to fall look, I love RED as you can probably tell, I wear it all year long. I love color actually. So why have I put together what I have put together? Well, I have paired a simple red and white gingham checked shirt (a classic) with my Eco Levi's Jeans and a skinny red belt, I love the contrast of the yellow necklace with the red. It makes for a happy outfit, and I always say be bold with color, because it's fun to be bold with color. The shoe and footwear choices are a little different in that I have chosen to not pair red shoes with this outfit. Why? Because it breaks up the look, red on top and the bottom are not a good idea. The red purse works with either shoe choice depending on the weather, with the boots being for a colder day. The brown bag and men's inspired shoes would also be a great look with this outfit. The men inspired shoes, are a definite "fashion item" for this upcoming fall. As I always say to my client's PLAY WITH YOUR CLOTHES, HAVE FUN WITH THEM THIS IS NOT SERIOUS STUFF. |
