As you all know by now I love animals, especially dogs. If I could I would find a way to rescue and save all animals. So today I am posting this photo and caption because for me it says it all

  ON May 20, 1873 Levi Strauss and his partner Jacob Davis  received a United States Patent for using a cooper rivet to reinforce the corner of pockets on work pants. Thus the jean was born. 
 A few years ago a read a great book, which was so well written and compelling that I suggest reading it. You will be surprised how interesting it is, especially if you like American Icons, jeans, business, American History and style or fashion. The book:
Jeans  A Cultural History of an American Icon.  The author is James Sullivan., has done a great job of exploring this business that started out as work wear but has ended up being a fashion item and a cut-throat business.

  I went to the Doctor yesterday. One of the questions was do your joints ache. I laughed and proceeded to tell the doctor that some mornings I don't know which joints ache more but once I am up and moving things get better. She laughed and concurred, I think she is about my age. So that lead me to think about shoes. I love shoes I have always had a red high heel as a logo, it's just changed shape with the style changes over the years. So I started looking online at shoes. Now you all know that I love TomsShoes.com  as much for the style, comfort and fashion as for the reason they exist. But check this out. Remember Keds, I am pretty sure we all had a pair as a kid. Well, Keds have come a long way and are actually quite fashionable. I have chosen three pairs from the men's and women's lines that I would love to own (women's) and probably will. That should make at least some of my joints happy. 

  I am for whatever reason obsessed with clothing as Fashion and as Style. I spend a lot of time looking at Fashion on the Internet and in magazines.   Last night I was at a social Happy Hour with friends. One of the guys showed up in that new very red orange color in a shirt. It was the bomb. Color is in for men just like for women and the brighter the better. Here are some examples of what you might try. 

  Why do people shy away from color, I have never figured it out. This Spring and moving into Fall color is huge. Total red or blue and green outfits with just a little shade variation, it going to be the style idea. If color scares you here is a good way to add a little. The watch is an old Banana Republic, I bought different colored bands at Target and J. Crew to swap out for added color. I love the look with my other bracelets. They both have watches to go with the bands, I just already had one that I love.
