I borrowed this book from my daughter. Last night I crawled into bed, watch Gabby take home the gold for gymnastics at the Olympics and read this book. I am a woman so I can do two things at once.  I thought I knew a lot about green living and actually I do, but this one has added even more fuel to the fire. I love the beauty and health tips. Eating to support healthy skin and your personal health, using organic products for caring for your skin, hair, and to use as make-up. BEing kind to the planet, saving money and looking drop dead gorgeous or handsome. What is not to love.? I can't wait to curl up again tonight to read more. We recently went on a trip to Wyoming and Colorado. There are two things that happen to be when traveling. I don't sleep well and my beauty routine is not what it should be, plus the environment is different from at home. It's funny the environment I can deal with and the beauty routine as well. It's the lack of sleep that shows up on my face and really makes my skin look shallow and lacking in color. They say you never catch up on sleep but after last night's big snore I am not so sure that's true. I feel a thousand times better and happier today just because I got a lot of sleep.

It's been proven over and over again that animal testing of products and medical procedures is like comparing apples to oranges and yet Urban Decay makeup has decided to start animal testing. Do not buy this product if you like your skin and body.
Here is their website address:http://www.urbandecay.com

As you know I have been researching this company to see where they stand with animal testing. I checked with PETA and the ASPCA and they are not listed there as being animal free testing. My guess is that the actual products are not animals tested but that some of the ingredients are animal tested. Remember what I always say if it's been tested on an animal it cannot possibly be good for you.

This just in from Benefits in a reply to my question. I need to do some further investigations but they say they do not test on animals. Hi Linda,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us. Benefit does not test our cosmetic products on animals. When selecting the ingredients to be used in our cosmetic products, Benefit requires raw material suppliers to provide safety information based on scientifically accepted alternative testing methods that meet international safety standards and regulations. Benefit products must meet both consumers' needs and consumer safety, while respecting animal life. Benefit continues to strongly support & favor alternative testing and is committed to following all animal testing laws and regulations in order to ensure our products' safety for the end consumer.

Thank you for shopping with Benefit Cosmetics.P.J.

GLOWING up…not growing up!

I am recommending you try these products, they look amazing. I just ordered mine and can't wait to try them. The creator is a model you will recognize, she is an amazing older model who loves her age and loves helping women realize their potential. There is no "junk" or bad chemicals in the ingredients and it is not animal tested (even more important). If they have to test something on animals do not buy it.

If you care about your own personal health, the way you look, and about any of the products you use you would shop carefully. Many skin care products and cosmetics are tested on animals before being put on the shelf for us to use. It's like comparing apples to oranges, what is safe for an animal is not necessarily safe for us. Please go to this website and sign this petition for me and for you own personal well being. http://www.humanesociety.org/news/press_releases/2012/04/be_cruelty-free_campaign_042312.html
