For the last several months I have been doing an experiment with my laundry. I have pretty much always know that the soap companies want you to use way to much product of course. Soap or detergent is actually really hard on your machine and your clothing, so that is one reason to cut back. It also makes it so you have to use dryer sheets. Since cutting way back on detergent, using cool or cold water for most loads, I have also found my clothes to be way less static-y. I use my dryer sheets for several loads because they just don't need the all that product now either. My clothes are clean, they smell great, more fresh then perfumy and I have just saved myself a ton of money, in machine repairs, product and wear and tear on my clothes.
